The Role of Neuroscience in Addressing Mental Exhaustion Among Adolescent Students: A Literature Review

Abstract
This article examines neuroscience’s role in addressing mental exhaustion among adolescent students. It evaluates how adolescence involves significant structural and functional reorganization, especially in the prefrontal cortex and limbic system. This developmental asynchrony increases vulnerability to chronic stress, cognitive fatigue, and emotional dysregulation. The proposed framework illustrates that public health initiatives and educational policies may enhance neural resilience by prioritizing biological factors essential for brain health. Evidence suggests that chronic stress affects the developing brain, leading to significant changes in neural circuits that increase susceptibility to psychiatric disorders. The article concludes that although Circuit-Targeted Regimen and Biological Anchors may initially increase learning demands, these challenges lead to lasting benefits.
